MMS Pow-wow is the official blog for Ms. Fiscus's 7th grade students. Here, you will find useful information about our classes. This blog will also give us an opportunity to get to know each other better and provide us with a place to create our own voices. I encourage you to post whispers, cheers, and roars. Please keep our school motto in mind when you post: Treat People Right and Do the Right Thing. Enjoy our Pow-wow!

A Song for Everything
My mom used to break out in song, bringing delight to the most mundane activities. Even though it used to drive me crazy, I miss that about her now. I don't know that I've heard her do that since her brain surgery over seven years ago. So, here you go mom, "Memories...light the corners of my mind. Misty water-colored memories, of the way you were." Love you...

Ah, Paula. What a lovely memory of times with your mom. Loved the song you sang for her; I could hear it from here...
ReplyDeleteThanks, Debbi. I miss her.
ReplyDeleteHi Paula! It's me, Carrie Johnson. I just happened to stumble upon your blog tonight, as I was completing my own "blog challemge." Yours looks GREAT! How long have you been blogging?
ReplyDeleteI hope all is well at MMS, and please tell Gabby I am thinking of her!
Hi, Carrie! I actually just started for the "Slice Challenge." I'm still a bit confused on all of the posting and how to get things added to my page, but I'm enjoying it so far. I'm constantly trying to find material throughout my day. How long have you been blogging? Hope you are well, too. I'll have to figure out how to follow you. I'll tell her you said hi. I'm sure it will bring a smile to her face.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great memory of your mom. It's funny how we miss the little things.
ReplyDeleteIt's the small details we miss the most, the tiny things that define us. Thanks for sharing this one.
